Mystery Animal in Maine

Here is a very intersting story about a "hybrid mutant" animal found in southern Maine that has been described as "half-rodent, half-dog" and is described as "charcoal gray, weighed between 40 and 50 pounds and had a bushy tail, a short snout, short ears and curled fangs hanging over its lips". However, the authorities chose not to investigate when it (or one of them) was killed when running in front of a car. My guess is some sort of a wolverine (despite the lack of reference to fierce looking claws) or wolf-dog (see reference in article).

Additional link since it appears the first one is no longer there.

In a somewhat related matter I wanted to link this page which describes a big-foot like sighting in the same county in Maine. Locals call the animal a "loopgaroo" which is french for werewolf.

On a mostly unrelated matter there is going to be a 2-headed animal exhibit in St. Louis.
